Originally from the Alsace region of France, the Pinot Blanc grape is a point mutation of Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir. Popular in Italy, France and Germany, it can be found in California, Oregon and Canada with small planting’s across Washington State.
A tropical fragrance of nectarines, melons and juicy white peach fill the nose with LOTS of fruit on the palate. Medium-full body, medium-dry, the wine is crisp and offers full flavors of apricot, pineapple, mango and pear.
Try pairing with shellfish, shrimp scampi, fresh muscles, clams and oysters, lemon chicken, pasta with white sauce or buttered popcorn.
