Syrah is a dark skinned grape varietal native to the Rhône Valley in France. It is a popular red wine grape grown around the world and is also known as Shiraz.
Dark inky color with aromas of peppercorn, dark fruit, olive, light smoke and licorice. Fruit forward with a medium-full body, medium plus acid and medium tannin, developing flavors of blackberry, plum, black pepper and boysenberry jam satisfy the palate.
