Tempranillo is a Spanish wine grape made famous in the Rioja region. It has thick skins and grows best in drier climates. It thrives under full hot sun during the day with cooler temps at night to help preserve its natural acidity.
On the nose aromas of fig, anise, leather and black pepper stand out. Medium-full bodied, the wine is dry with medium-plus acid and high tannins. Black pepper, sun dried tomato, cigar paper and red bell pepper fill the mouth leading to a lasting dry finish.
Enjoy now or we recommend cellaring between 2024 and 2029.
Try pairing with tomato-based dishes, lasagna, wild game, street tacos or rib-eye steak.
